CHALLENGE
California inside an invitation.
Orange West asked MOVYTZA to develop creative invitations for RZEcommerce 2025 that reflected the character of the event and clearly differed from a standard invitation.
The brief drew on a Californian lifestyle aesthetic: sunsets, palm trees, sun, beach imagery and a vivid orange colour.
The project also had to accommodate different budget levels from the beginning. The task was therefore not to create one spectacular object, but to develop several routes towards a similar experience.
APPROACH
Explore the possibilities first. Decide consciously afterwards.
Instead of starting with a single finished solution, we developed several concepts using different forms, production technologies and cost levels.
Interactivity was the common denominator. The invitation needed to reflect the event identity while also giving the recipient something to do and discover.
- — capsule with kinetic sand
- — personalised USB drive made from stabilised wood
- — personalised stamps
- — magnetic box with a message in a bottle
- — pop-up papercraft sunset scene
SOLUTION
A visual impact without ignoring the budget.
Visualisations and prototypes allowed the client to compare the concepts not only aesthetically, but also in terms of cost and production feasibility.
Feedback particularly favoured ideas involving sand and three-dimensional elements. During later iterations, more expensive components were simplified, including the removal of embossed stamps.
The final boxes retained their interactive character and the visual language of the conference while leaving room for personalisation and additional promotional items.
PROCESS
Design is also about making decisions.
RZEcommerce shows that a creative process does not end with an idea. A concept still has to survive consultation, prototyping and the realities of production.
01
Brief and consultation
Together with the client, we clarified the event character, expectations for the invitation, schedule and budget framework.
The initial assumption was to prepare three variants with different levels of complexity.
02
Concepts and visualisations
We developed several directions using beach, sunset and interactive motifs. Visualisations made it possible to compare the concepts before moving into more expensive production.
03
Prototyping and feedback
Based on the client's feedback, we developed the concepts involving sand and three-dimensional effects.
This stage helped identify which elements genuinely strengthened the experience and which primarily increased production cost.
04
Cost optimisation
To respond to the budget requirements, we developed a more economical version and removed some of the more expensive components, including embossed stamps.
The goal was not simply to reduce cost, but to preserve the core idea through a simpler production method.
RESULT
An interactive box aligned with the event.
The final invitations combined the distinctive RZEcommerce visual identity with interactive elements and options for further personalisation.
The boxes were also prepared to accommodate the client's promotional items.
The project became an example of a creative solution developed alongside active control of production costs.
CLIENT FEEDBACK
“MOVYTZA understood our needs perfectly and delivered a project that exceeded our expectations. The creative invitations delighted both our team and their recipients. The collaboration was professional and flexible throughout.”
